This CRC workshop is an application of the Varieties of Capitalism approach to the diversity of emerging capitalism in Central and Eastern Europe .

The theme is readily connected to seminars in comparative politics and comparative political economy. It also invites faculty to debate the much discussed and sizable literature on varieties of capitalism in advanced countries.
