The Economic Research Institute (IRE) of the University of Lugano (Switzerland) has a strong focus on regional and transport economics. The IRE opens applications for a position as a Ph. D. candidate in economics starting from the 1st January 2007.

We expect applications from candidates, who have successfully concluded their Master degree in economics or econometrics and a strong interest in applied research. The candidate will be fully involved in an applied research project in the National Research Programme 54 “Sustainable Development of the Built Environment�.
