Correlation between roughness parameters and tribological functionality

PhD fellowship within the MC-RTN “WEMESURFâ€? funded by the European Commission through its 6th Framework Program. The aim of this research network is characterisation of wear mechanisms and surface functionalities with regard to life time prediction and quality criteria – from micro to the nano range.

The appointment for a period of 36 months amounts to € 30550/year factorised by the country correction coefficient (e.g. Austria 1.04). Additional funds are available as “mobility allowanceâ€? (€ 800/month for researcher being married or equivalent; € 500/month not married) and as annual “travel allowanceâ€? (depending on distance between home location and host). The appointment position requires a permanent and active participation in the study and research program of the Research Training Network.
