It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 2006 Renewable Resources and Biorefineries (RRB) Conference in York (UK) on 6th to 8th September 2006. The meeting will be held on the University of York campus and will build on the success of the inaugural conference held at Ghent University, Belgium in September 2005 (see: Ghent Conference)

The conference will feature presentations from key figures from academia, industry and government to stimulate lively debate and new thinking. Invited speakers will reflect the most serious challenges currently facing world industry and policy-makers in the renewable resources area.

The main themes of the conference are in the areas of European Policy and Socio-Economic issues, Biorefining, Green Chemistry, Renewable Feedstocks for Chemical Manufacture, Industrial Biotechnology, Biocatalysis, Bioprocessing, Carbohydrates, Oleochemicals, New Materials and Products from Sustainable Resources, Biofuels, Bioenergy and Investment.

This is a residential three-day conference with reserved conference accommodation (a 5 minutes walk from the conference venue) providing good value and the University of York campus has the luxury of ample parking. There is also ample hotel accommodation in the city of York.

We hope to be able to offer a limited number of Scholarships through the Green Chemistry Network to scientists from developing countries. See the awards page for further information.
